Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours announces Sunday tours
Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours has added special Sunday tours to its weekly lineup. Tours are held each Sunday in downtown Raleigh, downtown Durham, Chapel Hill-Carrboro, historic Hillsborough, downtown Greensboro and Winston-Salem. They include visits with several different restaurants and markets so participants can enjoy innovative food that is sourced locally from farm to table.
The Durham Taqueria Caravan will be part of the tour Aug. 5 and Aug. 26. As featured in Gourmet magazine and The New York Times, Durham is home to an abundance of authentic Mexican restaurants. This tour explores five of them: Los Comales, La Poblana, La Superior, La Vaquita, and Nanataco. Tours begin at 2 p.m. and cost $42.50 per person.
Every Sunday, Raleigh walking tours will explore off-the-beaten-path restaurants like Sitti, Chuck's, Busy Bee, Mantra, C Grace, Calavera and Natty Greene's. Tours are held from 3:30-7 p.m. and cost $62.50 per person.
